Pasta + Rice shelf
I used OXO POP 3.7qt Airtight Food Storage Containers for my spaghetti and lasagne noodles, and I used OXO POP 4.4qt Airtight Food Storage Containers for my pastas and rices. Those came in a bundle of 3 and included .5 scoops that attach to the lid!
I also used an OXO POP 2.6qt Airtight Food Storage Container for pasta that we use less regularly. It fits an entire box of pasta and still has room as you can see up above!
spices and baking ingredients shelf
These 2-Tier Lazy Susans are AMAZING!! I ordered a pack of two off of Amazon for less than $30. I love that its made a higher-up shelf more easily accessible with its swivel feature.
The OXO POP 1.7qt Airtight Food Storage Containers are great for baking ingredients and nuts. I used them for chocolate chips, almonds, flour, and sugar.
As mentioned before, I ordered a set of three OXO POP 4.4qt Airtight Food Storage Containers from Bloomingdale's. Each came with its own .5 cup scooper that neatly attaches to the lid. I used one of those containers for our boxed oatmeal, and I used an OXO POP 5.8qt Airtight Storage Container for our individually packaged oatmeal. I also used an OXO POP 5.8 Airtight Food Storage Container for 2.5 boxes of tri-color pasta noodles. The OXO POP 2.6qt Airtight Food Storage Containers worked great for our Nespresso capsules.
Derek and I aren't really "cereal people," but if you or someone in your household is then I recommend the cereal containers by OXO! They have a special lid design for pouring the cereal out without removing the lid.
...along with a designated junk food snack section
I found two clear containers at Target - I used the larger container for our boxed junk food and the other for our bread and tortillas.
oils and canned goods shelf
I ordered two Clear Plastic Divided Lazy Susans off of Amazon. These have been great for our oils! I also purchased a pack of two Plastic Stackable Food Storage Bins with Handles from Amazon for our canned goods. It helps keep the organized look by having a designated spot for the cans, and I love how the clear plastic makes it so easy to see what's in our pantry.
less commonly-used items shelf
Last, but not least - I ordered two KOUBOO Lo Jolla Rattan Flatware Trays, White Wash for our less commonly-used items such as plastic silverware, straws, mini to-go boxes, etc. I made sure that - aside from the food storage containers - I purchased two of everything that was a bulkier item to help keep an organized, aesthetically pleasing look (for example: the baskets, lazy susans, and storage bins).
OXO POP Airtight Food Storage Containers are available at multiple stores including Amazon, Bloomingdale's, TJ Maxx, and Target. Unfortunately, the experience I had with the quality of the containers from my online purchase from Target was not great. Over half of my order arrived with cracked containers! I was so disappointed. When I went into the store to return the damaged items and to find OXO containers that were in good shape, my options were slim-to-none. I even still managed to come home with one container that was broken!! I had been so busy making sure there weren't any cracks in the containers that I didn't think to make sure the "pop" function worked. Well, it did NOT. The item had been on clearance, and now I know why.
My order from Bloomingdale's was a complete 180* difference!! Each container was wrapped carefully in a squishy foam material, inside of a separate box within the Bloomingdale's box, which contained a ton of padding. After my Target experience, I had so much respect for the time and care Bloomingdale's took to make sure that its products arrived in-tact!
